Derick du Toit

Born in South-Africa, Derick received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the Nelson Mandela University where he was nominated as a Golden Key member resulting in graduating as part of the top 15% of the university. Newley graduated, he received a job opportunity from the school he attended, Die Brandwag Horskool. Here he worked as the Superintendent of the Boys’ Hostel as well as working as a teacher. Derick has taught various subjects such as Social Studies, Workplace Mathematics, Economics & Management Science as well as Business Studies. He is an enthusiastic outdoorsman who loves to hike, paddleboard or engage in any health orientated activities. Derick is passionate about technology, engineering and woodworking and is excited to offer hands-on workshops for the students. His life motto is to be the best you can be and to realise that positivity is contagious.
